DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL — A modernized historic home in the gated Denver Country Club community has been listed for $6,725,000.

Built in 1932 by architectural firm Fisher & Fisher, the home was constructed for John Evans Sr., former president of the First National Bank and grandson of Colorado's second territorial governor, as a wedding gift for his daughter Alice Evans and her fiancé Hudson Moore Jr.

Today the home located at 2301 E. Alameda Avenue boasts very different views of Denver than at the time of its construction; the booming Denver skyline is just three miles away, framed by the lush grass of the Denver Country Club and carefully designed landscaping on the 1.31-acre lot.

The 8,379-square-foot, four-bedroom home situated on a private road has four full and three half baths and boasts the original antique elevator, a wine cellar, greenhouse, and four indoor fireplaces, which have been converted to gas. An outdoor fire pit serves as the property's fifth fireplace.
