DENVER — Pita Pit is planning to expand in Colorado.
The Mediterranean fast-food concept announced plans this week to open 10 or more locations in the Denver area over the next five years.
Pita Pit, which had a presence in Colorado until pandemic-related closures in 2020, said it wants to reintroduce itself in Denver after undergoing a complete brand refresh.
The company said its new restaurants feature a modernized design with a drive-thru business model, a reimagined menu, and technological upgrades.
Pita Pit also said there is an increase in demand for health-conscious meals that are convenient and affordable. Pita Pit's menu features made-to-order pita sandwiches, bowls and falafel bites and vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options.
"With a growing demand for healthier dining options across the country and fast-food options on every corner, we have carved out a unique opportunity within the QSR space," said Peter Riggs, CEO of Pita Pit. "By implementing a drive-thru and prioritizing fresh flavors, we are able to continue the growth of our cult-like following in communities such as Denver for years to come."
Pita Pit is seeking both single-unit and multi-unit franchisees to open restaurants with the new drive-thru model, which has a smaller footprint of about 800 to 1,000 square feet.
