Denver Business Journal — An executive order has been signed by Gov John Hickenlooper that will aim to address payroll issues and worker misclassification in construction.
The order creates a joint task force that will work to improve these problems in the industry.
The misclassification of employees as independent contractors are an example of the labor law violations that hurt law-abiding contractors and construction workers, according to a press release from the governor's office.
