Firearms manufacturer cuts ties with Dick's Sporting Goods

Following the mass shooting that killed 17 at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla., in February, Dick's announced that it would stop selling assault-style weapons at its namesake stores and Field & Stream and halt weapons sales to anyone under 21.

DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL — O.F. Mossberg & Sons Inc., a firearms manufacturer based in North Haven, Conn., said it will no longer sell its products to Dick’s Sporting Goods Inc. for its namesake stores and Field & Stream.

Mossberg said in a release that it will not accept future orders from the retailer in response to Dick’s hiring gun control lobbyists last month, and it is in the process of evaluating current contractual agreements.

Dick’s (NYSE:DKS) is based in Findlay Township, near Pittsburgh.
