DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - Perhaps one of the best uses of social media by businesses and organizations is to offer a behind-the-scenes look at events, operations, duties and more.
That's a message the Denver Art Museum's social media team, led by communications manager Shadia Lemus, received loud and clear in 2009 when they gave social media followers an inside look at artists setting up for an exhibit at the museum.
The team has since integrated those insider peeks into its social media strategy, along with numerous contests, content sharing and customer service. And it's worked well — as is evidenced by DAM's 81 Klout score and more than 100,000 followers across its social channels.
Here's an interview with Lemus about the DAM's social program.
