High-tech ceramics maker CoorsTek Inc. said Monday it will build a $120 million Center for Advanced Materials in the company's headquarters city of Golden.
The facility will help the privately held company "accelerate high-performance materials technology for next-generation applications," supporting the "rapid development of new materials," it said.
“CoorsTek has made Colorado, Jefferson County, and Golden our home base for more than a century as we’ve grown to become the world leader in engineered ceramics,” said Co-CEO Michael Coors. “This investment will allow us to push the frontiers of technology into the next 100 years.”
