Colorado's movie incentive program brings growth, questions

Colorado's state film incentives program seems to be producing many of the benefits that its advocates claimed it would.
Members of the cast and crew of "Decay" answer audience questions.

DENVER - Perched at the front of the theater at Denver's Sie FilmCenter on Monday,Decay director Joseph Wartnerchaney fielded a question about where the 13 cast and crew members standing with him called home.

As they went down the line answering, a trend became very clear: The two actors were from the coasts, the music composer was from New York, and everyone else involved with the feature film showing at the Denver Film Festival-- underway Nov. 4-15 -- was from Colorado.

Wartnerchaney, a Denver native, said in an interview that he shot his movie -- a macabre tale about a mentally disturbed man living with a corpse -- wholly around the Denver metro area, splicing it with scenes of Elitch Gardens and Lakeside Amusement Park.
