Denver Business Journal — The Stationery Company, a 35-year fixture in Cherry Creek North, will close its doors in May, but may yet see a second life online.
Lin Logan, who owns the printing and stationary shop, made the decision to close its doors after years of attempting to adapt to changing consumer habits. Websites like Snapfish, Mint and Vistaprint have disrupted the printing industry by offering specialized and personalized services at discount rates.
“As all the other stationary stores kept closing, I kept thinking, ‘Oh, more business for me,’” said Logan, who works six days a week at her store. “But it’s just not enough with the internet and Amazon and everything. I just can’t hold on any longer.”
