Broomfield cybersecurity company to lay off 80 employees

The layoffs come ahead of a planned merger with the company's competitor.

BROOMFIELD, Colo. — A cybersecurity company based in Broomfield plans to to cut its staff by 80 people.

LogRhythm Inc. said in a notification to state regulators dated July 16 that the job cuts will pertain to onsite and remote employees who report to its office at 385 Interlocken Crescent in Broomfield.

The layoffs are connected the company's merger with California-based Exabeam later this year, the company said in a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (WARN) notice to the Colorado Department of Labor & Employment.

"LogRhythm, Inc. has decided to reduce its workforce in connection with a recent corporate transaction," the notice said.

The merger closed Wednesday.
