Boulder software CEO leaving post

BOULDER (AP) - CEO David Moll is resigning from his job at the head of the anti-spyware company Webroot at the end of the year.

Webroot Chairman Eric Spivey says Moll is essentially swapping places with board member Peter Watkins, who will take over the Boulder-based company. The company - which employs about 300 worldwide - gives no specific reason for the switch and did not post the announcement on its Web site. In a statement, Spivey says the swap allows the company to gain from both men's talents and was based on Moll's request. Webroot makes the software Spy Sweeper for home use in addition to business applications.
