Bank of Colorado parent buys Colorado and Nebraska branches

Nebraska-based Pinnacle Bancorp Inc., parent of Bank of Colorado, has acquired AmFirst Bank, which operates five banks in Colorado and Nebraska.

Nebraska-based Pinnacle Bancorp Inc., parent of Bank of Colorado, has acquired AmFirst Bank, which operates five banks in Colorado and Nebraska.

Pinnacle Bancorp already has 140 banks in eight states and about $9.7 billion in assets. It has 61 banks in Nebraska under the name Pinnacle Bank and 39 banks in Colorado operating under the name of Bank of Colorado.

AmFirst Bank has $260 million in assets with two banks in Colorado — one in Greenwood Village and one in Longmont.

"We are excited to welcome AmFirst to the Bank of Colorado family," said Sid Dinsdale, chairman of Pinnacle Bancorp.
