ARVADA, Colo. — A growing church has acquired a retail center in the northwest Denver metro suburbs, buying three buildings that surround its location.

Storyline Church bought the Arvada West Town Center, at 14455-14715 W. 64th Ave., for $10.1 million, records filed in Jefferson County show.

Walmart once anchored the retail center, but the Christian church acquired that building, 14605 W. 64th Ave., in 2018 for $4 million. The church had expanded from its beginnings hosting Sunday services in spaces it rented at local schools.

Now the church has acquired three other buildings in the Arvada retail center it calls home.

One of those spaces was already being rented by the church to house its student center. Storyline also recently began renting another of the spaces — a former liquor store adjacent to the church — that it just bought.
