Denver Business Journal — Dunkin' Donuts is movin' on up in the Denver area with a number of new locations being developed as a part of the company's plan to add 1,000 net new restaurants in the U.S. by the end of 2020.
A total of 12 new Dunkin' locations are slated to open the next couple years in the metro area, according to a press release, but specific locations were not outlined.
Franchisee group Sizzling Donuts plans to develop seven Dunkin' locations around Denver, with the first opening in 2019, and Colorado Coffee Company LLC plans to open four throughout the area. Existing franchisee Douglas Redman will also develop one Dunkin’ and Baskin-Robbins multi-brand location in Denver.
As Baskin-Robbins is a part of parent company Dunkin' Brands Group Inc. (Nasdaq: DNKN), the additional opening of an additional Baskin-Robbins shop in Denver by franchisee Andrea Jensen-Bunce of Colorado Cones Inc. counts toward the overall goal of 1,000 new restaurants.
