LAKEWOOD – He's been a fixture in front of a Lakewood store for three years, but Tuesday morning, Sherlock Holmes went missing.
The owner of Talking Books Plus, Don Huck, says someone unscrewed the 6-foot tall wooden, hand-painted cutout of Sherlock Holmes from where he was anchored in front of the business near South Wadsworth Boulevard and West Hampden Avenue.
Holmes should be wearing a burgundy plaid scarf.
Huck says he's hopeful Holmes will be returned in one piece.
