LAKEWOOD, Colo. — It's the place people either love or hate, some actually love it and hate it at the same time.
Casa Bonita is home to cliff divers, a gorilla, secret places, a sleeping gold miner, and oh, they have food too.
The iconic restaurant on West Colfax Avenue in Lakewood is the subject of an art show at the Next Gallery, which is not far from the pink restaurant. So move over duct-taped banana, the duct-taped taco is taking over the art world.

They chose Casa Bonita as the subject of the show because almost everyone knows about it, and the artists have so much to work with, according to Betsy Rudolph with the Next Gallery.
"We've all been there, it's like oh yes I know, ya I've been there," she said. "And then the people who haven't been - I must go, right? I gotta check this out."
The show, now in its third year, features 60 pieces of art in mediums ranging from watercolor to sculptures to ceramics and even lego. There are few rules, except that the artwork needs to be fun.
The Viva Casa Bonita exhibit only runs until March 8, at the Next Gallery which is only open Friday evening, and Saturday and Sunday afternoons. It's located at 6851 W. Colfax Ave., right near Casa Bonita.
