SILVERTON, Colo. — A new chairlift is coming to southwestern Colorado.
Silverton Mountain Ski Area announced it will build a second chairlift as early as this summer.
The Silverton ski area said it was originally permitted in San Juan County to build up to two additional future lifts located on private property within the ski area boundaries. A base lodge and 10 overnight chalets are also permitted, planned, and could be developed in the future.
"We are really excited for the future of Silverton Mountain and our second chairlift that will access phenomenal terrain!" Silverton Mountain founder Aaron Brill said.
Silverton Mountain said it will offer unguided season passes for next season for $199 with early-bird purchase.
