ARVADA, Colo. — A new park has opened in Arvada.
Serenity Ridge Park officially opened Thursday near the Red Rocks Community College campus near Kipling Parkway and West 56th Avenue.
The City of Arvada said the park is holistic-based and one of the first of its kind in the region.
The city said the park, which was designed in partnership with the college, aims to improve community access to free health opportunities.
Elements and features of Serenity Ridge Park include:
- Accessible looped concrete trail.
- Amphitheater-style outdoor classroom.
- Labyrinth, reflexology path, garden area and large shade shelter.
- Turf lawn area designed for small group activities.
- Park shapes, colors, and directional elements that reflect Feng Shui principles.
