LOVELAND, Colo. — Lynyrd Skynyrd has canceled four concerts, including two performances planned in Colorado.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band announced the cancellation on Wednesday was due to vocalist Johnny Van Zant's daughter having a "sudden emergency illness."
Lynyrd Skynyrd's canceled performances include shows in West Valley, Utah, Loveland, Colorado Springs, and Albuquerque.
"Early this morning, Johnny Van Zant was informed his daughter must undergo emergency surgery," Lynyrd Skynyrd said on X. "Johnny has asked all fans to pray for a successful procedure and recovery."
Lynyrd Skynyrd had been scheduled to perform with ZZ Top at Blue Arena in Loveland on Friday, and Ford Amphitheater in Colorado Springs on Saturday.
The band said refunds are available at the point of purchase.
Lynyrd Skynyrd are perhaps best known for their mega hits "Sweet Home Alabama" and "Free Bird." Lynyrd Skynyrd was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2006.
