Longtime Colorado radio personality has new home on the radio dial

Kathie J has worked in Denver radio and television for over 23 years and is the newest host on Denver's Christmas music station.

GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo. — Longtime Colorado radio and TV personality Kathie J has a new home on the radio dial in Denver.

Kathie J has joined the on-air staff at Denver radio station KOSI 101.1 FM.

Kathie J has worked in Denver radio and television for 23 years, including a long run as host of the popular morning show "Larry, Kendall and Kathie J" on KQKS 107.5 FM. She has also received an Emmy Award for "The Kathie J Show" on KCDO-TV Local 3 in Denver.

"I am very excited to be on KOSI101.1!" Kathie J said. "KOSI has always been close to my heart and I had always hoped that my career would one day bring me back to the station that I love so much."

"I've been a fan of Kathie’s for over 20 years and I'm so excited for her to bring her considerable talent and experience to KOSI 101.1," said KOSI Program Director Jim Lawson. "She began her career in the promotions department of KOSI 101.1 and I'm happy to welcome her home."

Last month, KOSI 101.1 switched to an all-Christmas music format for a 22nd year.

KOSI made the switch at a live event Thursday evening at Cherry Creek North. "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year" by Andy Williams was the first song after KOSI held a countdown to the Christmas music launch.

"This year we thought it would be fun to make the switch to all Christmas music outdoors at Cherry Creek North,” said KOSI Program Director Jim Lawson.

You can listen to KOSI on the radio at 101.1 FM, on the computer at KOSI101.com, on the free KOSI 101 app, or on smart speakers.
