DENVER — Two of the longest-tenured radio personalities in Colorado are switching stations on the Denver radio dial.

Dom Testa is leaving Mix 100 and Melissa Moore is departing KOSI 101 for a new morning show on Kool 105, KSE Radio Ventures announced Tuesday.

Testa, who has hosted the morning show on KIMN-FM 100.3 for nearly 32 years, won't be traveling far. His new role at KXKL-FM Kool 105 is just across the hall at KSE Radio Ventures.

“Dom in the Morning, with Melissa Moore” debuts Monday, Oct. 7, on Kool 105, replacing Winston and Mel, who announced last week that Tuesday was their last day.

At Mix 100, Steve Marshall will join Jeremy Padgett and producer Josh Griesemer for the morning show starting Oct. 1. Nina Blanco will expand her show to 3 to 7 p.m., while Katy Mitchell will continue in her midday slot between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., according to KSE Media Ventures.

"Leaving Mix 100 after more than three decades is obviously bittersweet," Testa said. "But hosting the morning show at a heritage station like Kool 105, especially with a radio pro like Melissa, is a remarkable honor and privilege I couldn’t pass up."

"Dom and I worked together in the 1990s, and the chance to reunite actually has me excited to get up at 4 a.m.," Moore said. "I can’t wait for listeners to share that excitement and energy with us."

"We’re excited to bring this remarkable award-winning team to Kool," said Dave Fleck, KSE Radio Senior Vice President and General Manager. "Dom is a Denver radio legend. Having the chance to pair him with Melissa is going to revitalize mornings on Kool 105. We believe it will be must-listen radio."

"I’m leaving the morning show at Mix 100," Testa said on Facebook. "It feels strange to even write those words. But after nearly 32 years hosting the show, it’s time for the next chapter."

"This Wednesday, September 25th, will be my last day at 100.3," Testa said. "Most radio announcers are lucky if they last three or four years at one station. I’ve spent half my life at Mix 100, settling in behind the microphone in January 1993. If you listen to the show, you have my sincerest gratitude. You’ve brought me so much joy. I’m NOT leaving the airwaves in Denver. I’m moving next door."

"Jeremy, one the most talented people on Denver radio, will still be on the Mix 100 morning show, along with Josh and a special co-host to be named soon," Testa said. "Jer and I have had a lot of fun together for so many years, and I know his new show will be fantastic."

"If you make the move with me to Kool 105, that’s great. I look forward to more fun chats and good laughs with you. If not, thank you so much for your support over three decades. I have never taken it for granted and I appreciate you more than you know," Testa said.

"Almost two weeks ago I made the decision not to renew my contract at KOSI," Moore said on Facebook. "After 11 years with the company it was a bittersweet decision, but one that I knew was right for me personally and professionally. KOSI has been a part of my life for decades and I will always love that station."

"I leave with great memories and great friendships. I also thank you for spending your days with me listening. My success is because of you and your trust in me. Everyone is asking, what's next? I've heard the rumors, it is radio after all!"

Padgett said he's excited for Marshall to join the Mix 100 morning show.

“Having Steve on board is going to bring a fresh and exciting dimension to our show,” he said in a news release. “We’ve got some fantastic plans for The Boys in the Morning.  We can’t wait for our listeners to experience it all.”

KSE Radio Ventures said Testa will bring his popular feature, The Mindbender — a morning tradition for families since 1993 — over to Kool 105. Testa is multiple-award winner at the Colorado Broadcasters Association.

Moore recently picked up another Colorado Broadcasters Association award for Best Midday Show, as well as the Gracie Award from the Alliance for Women in Media.
