Here's who's playing at the Colorado State Fair

The 152nd Colorado State Fair opens Aug. 23. Shane Smith, Scotty McCreery, Ludacris and Trace Adkins are on the schedule.

PUEBLO, Colo. — Colorado's biggest summer celebration is here. 

The Colorado State Fair opens Friday and continues through Monday, Sept. 2, in Pueblo.

Shane Smith and the Saints, Scotty McCreery, Lonestar, The Commodores and The Spinners, Trace Adkins, Ludacris, and Banda El Recodo are among those set to perform at the 152nd fair over the next two weeks.

Shane Smith and the Saints will take to the fairgrounds concert stage after the PRCA rodeo on Friday, Aug. 23. The red dirt country music band is also performed at the Greeley Stampede in July.

Country music star Scotty McCreery is scheduled to perform Saturday, Aug. 24, following a PRCA rodeo.

Country music group Lonestar will follow the PRCA rodeo on Sunday, Aug. 25.

Rodeos will be held Monday, Aug. 26, and Wednesday, Aug. 28. Chauncey Williams is performing after Wednesday's rodeo.

"An Evening of Icons" will feature The Commodores and The Spinners on Thursday, Aug. 29.

Trace Adkins will perform at the Colorado State Fair on Friday, Aug. 30, with support from Cody Cozz.

Ludacris takes the stage for the final Saturday night of the fair, Aug. 31. The rapper and actor is also performing at Cheyenne Frontier Days in July.

Mexican group Banda El Recodo will close out the concert schedule on Sunday, Sept. 1.

Other scheduled events include monster truck shows and a demolition derby.
