PUEBLO, Colo. — A southern Colorado woman is still grabbling with newfound fortune after winning a big lottery prize.

Pamela D. of Pueblo won the $5,214,531 Colorado Lotto+ jackpot on Nov. 29.

The retiree said she grabbed a $3 Colorado Lotto+ ticket when she stopped at a Loaf N Jug convenience store to buy a soda.

The winning ticket ended up on her fridge until her son checked the ticket and realized all six numbers matched.

Pamela said the most she had ever won in the lottery was $50.

"Pamela has chosen to channel her energy into giving back to the community that holds a special place in her heart," Colorado Lottery said in a statement. "She’s not sure exactly what she will do with her winnings but is determined to 'improve our magnificent Pueblo!'"
