LITTLETON, Colo. — The hit PBS series "Antiques Roadshow" will bring its live tour to Colorado.
The long-running series has announced a new tour as it searches for tales of family heirlooms, flea market finds and items saved from attics and basements.
"Antiques Roadshow" will hold an all-day appraisal event at Denver Botanic Gardens Chatfield Farms on Wednesday, May 29.
Show producers said guests will receive free verbal evaluations of their antiques, art and collectibles by experts. Each ticketed guest is invited to bring two items for appraisal.
Admission to "Antiques Roadshow" is free, but tickets are required and must be obtained in advance. Fans can enter for a chance to win one pair of free tickets per household.
The ticket sweepstakes opened Monday at PBS.org, and the deadline for entries is 11:59 p.m. PT on Monday, March 18. Also, a small number of free tickets will be available to fans who enter on Instagram.
"Holding events at locations like Chatfield Farms provides an enriching experience for our guests and audiences that they may otherwise miss," said "Antiques Roadshow" executive producer Marsha Bemko. "Our cameras blanket the property, capturing appraisals with the action of the event as a backdrop and taking our audience ‘backstage’ to learn about meaningful history, cultures and unique settings across our country."
Part adventure, part history lesson and part treasure hunt, Season 29 of "Antiques Roadshow" will film in five cities. From each of the events, three episodes of "Antiques Roadshow" per city will be created to air on PBS in 2025.
