DENVER — Denver’s River North Art District is gaining traction among dog lovers and their four-legged friends, and will soon be home to two dog bar and park concepts.

Skiptown, a North Carolina-based dog park, bar and boarding center, is slated to open its first Colorado location in RiNo at 3833 Steele St., Unit #1332, in York Street Yards in late summer.

This announcement comes two months after Ohio-based BrewDog USA opened its first Denver location in RiNo at 3950 Wynkoop St. BrewDog USA’s 10,000-square-foot building features a taproom with 30 different beers on tap, a patio with a fire pit and a connected dog park.

Skiptown’s 50,000-square-foot facility in RiNo will offer an off-leash dog park, bar and beer garden and pet care services ranging from day care and boarding to grooming and training. It will also feature indoor and outdoor areas for pups to run and a splash pad. For humans, the bar will serve local beers, craft cocktails, wines and coffee, according to a statement from Skiptown.
