DENVER - A new WalletHub study found Denver is the 15th best city for people who love pets.

They reviewed health care, budget, outdoor environments, and amusement to draw this conclusion.
Here's how Denver ranked in other categories:
The Mile High City came in seventh for number of animal shelters per 100,000 residents, 10th for number of pet friendly restaurants and 12th for number of pet caretakers.
The American Pet Products Association says 65 percent - or 79.7 million - American households own a pet.
Colorado had two cities make the top 20.
Colorado Springs is ranked as the third best city for pet lovers.
Cincinnati, Ohio came in first.
