SAN DIEGO, Calif. (NBC) - The San Diego Zoo introduced the world to its furry new addition. The mother Nindiri gave birth to the jaguar cub on March 12. Bright-eyed and wobbly-legged, the 18-day-old cub explored its cave bedroom before the zoo was open Sunday morning.
The attentive mother gave the cub a bath as it lounged in the straw. Guests can see the cub during the zoo's "play days."
This is the third cub for 7-year-old Nindiri. The sex of the cub is not yet known.
