COLORADO, USA — Some new babies born around town now all share a rare birthday bragging right of seeing their birthday on the calendar every four years.
The odds of being born on a leap day are slim at only .06% – so let's meet the lucky "leaplings" or "leapers" who were delivered at two Denver-area hospitals.
AdventHealth said it welcomed seven new babies on leap day at its four hospitals. Twelve babies were born at Denver Health, keeping their labor and delivery team bustling.
First up, AdventHealth introduced us to Stetson, who was born in Littleton around 1:25 a.m. Then came Elias who was welcomed at their Parker hospital at 2:32 a.m. Next, there was Fabian who arrived at 4:35 a.m., Osias at 9:46 a.m. and twin boys Ronan and Ambrose at 1:14 p.m. and 1:16 p.m., respectively, at Avista, and then there is John who was born in Castle Rock later in the afternoon.
Of the 12 babies who arrived at Denver Health, the hospital shared a picture of mom Charise Dixon who welcomed Serenniti Stark, born at 2:18 a.m. She is daughter number four in her family.
Congratulations to the families who welcomed their new additions on a date that only rolls around every four years.
