DENVER — There are four less shopping days in the 2024 season, but UPS said it will be ready for increased demands for holiday shipping.
UPS announced Monday it will hire 125,000 seasonal workers ahead of the busy holiday shipping season. The company expects to recruit 2,700 full- and part-time seasonal employees in Denver.
UPS is hiring seasonal delivery drivers, Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) drivers, and package handlers.
Seasonal hourly pay rates begin at $21 per hour for package handlers, while CDL drivers and seasonal delivery drivers start at $23, UPS said.
UPS said 75% of the new positions no longer require an in-person interview, allowing many applicants to receive a job offer within as little as 10 minutes.
The company said that its Earn and Learn program allows eligible employees to earn up to $25,000 for college tuition and expenses. Part-time seasonal employees can even qualify for pro-rated reimbursement the day they are hired. UPS said current employees can also receive a bonus when referring family and friends.
