GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo. — Denver radio station KOSI 101.1 has a new look in the mornings.
The station announced Denver market radio veteran Steve Marshall has joined the "Jenny and Friends" morning show.
Marshall joins KOSI 101.1 from crosstown Mix 100.3 where he was the program director and afternoon show for the past seven years.
Marshall joins Jenny and KOSI veteran Murphy Huston which airs Monday through Friday 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. on KOSI 101.1.
"As we focus on being live and local, I’m so excited for Steve to bring his considerable talent and experience to KOSI 101.1," said KOSI Program Director Jim Lawson.
"I'm excited to join such a classic station, and I look forward to helping the Denver area wake up and feel good each morning," Marshall said.
KOSI 101.1 FM is preparing to make its annual switch to nonstop Christmas music.
KOSI will flip the switch to Christmas holiday music at a live event on Thursday, Nov. 14, at 5 p.m.
The public can attend the Christmas music launch at Cherry Creek North. KOSI will be broadcasting live from 4 to 6 p.m. at Moxy Denver Cherry Creek at 240 Josephine St. with a visit from Santa and lots of fun.
This is the 23rd year that KOSI will change to an all-Christmas music format.
"Once again, we will launch into Christmas music outdoors live at Cherry Creek North,” said KOSI Program Director Jim Lawson. "Everyone who came out had such a good time last year, we knew we had to do it there again this year."
KOSI will play classic holiday songs from Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, Burl Ives, Gene Autry, Andy Williams and Johnny Mathis, as well as contemporary hits by Michael Bublé, Carrie Underwood, Josh Groban and John Legend, 24 hours a day.
