DENVER — The days to ship holiday packages and mail greeting cards before Christmas are shrinking.
The U.S. Postal Service (USPS), FedEx and UPS have announced their shipping deadlines so mail, letters, cards and packages may be mailed out so they arrive in time for Christmas.
USPS said this is its busiest time of the year, two weeks before Christmas, and customer traffic at post office locations is rapidly increasing. The deadline to mail holiday packages and greeting cards via the post office's first-class mail is Saturday, Dec. 16.
The last day for FedEx ground economy delivery before Christmas is Friday, Dec. 15.
UPS has set Tuesday, Dec. 19, as its deadline date for 3 Day Select shipping.
Here are the major deadlines for delivery in time for Monday, Dec. 25.

- First-Class Mail (including greeting cards): Saturday, Dec. 16
- Priority Mail: Monday, Dec. 18
- Priority Mail Express: Wednesday, Dec. 20

- UPS 3 Day Select, for delivery on Dec. 22: Tuesday, Dec. 19
