AURORA, Colo. — The City of Aurora will ring in the holiday season with a special tree lighting event on Tuesday.
The public is invited to the annual Holiday Tree Lighting from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Aurora Municipal Center.
Thousands of lights will be lit outside the Center at the celebration, which will have live performances by Aurora Dance Arts, the Aurora Singers, and the Clara Brown Elementary School Choir. There will also be hot chocolate, cookies and a special appearance from Santa Claus.
The event is free to the public and located at 15151 E. Alameda Pkwy., just east of Interstate 225.
The Merry Makers Market, with products from local and regional vendors, will be open from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Aurora Central Library. The Aurora History Museum will also be open until 7 p.m., where the annual Festival of Wreaths is on display.
