Aurora to light up thousands of lights at Tuesday ceremony

AURORA, Colo. — Aurora will ring in the holiday season with a tree lighting event Tuesday evening.

The public is invited to enjoy seasonal treats, live musical performances and a lights display at the Aurora Municipal Center.

The festive display of lights will be turned on between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tuesday as Aurora welcomes a special visitor from the North Pole.

There will also be performances from Aurora Dance Hearts and The Original Dickens Carolers and special appearances from Anna and Elsa.

The event is free to the public and located at 15151 E. Alameda Parkway, just east of Interstate 225.
