DENVER — Amazon said it plans to hire 4,000 workers in Colorado this holiday season.
The retail giant announced that it is hiring 250,000 employees throughout the United States in full-time, seasonal, and part-time roles across its operations network.
The company said the 4,000 positions in Colorado includes 2,000 in the Denver-Aurora-Lakewood area and 1,000 in Colorado Springs.
Amazon said the roles range from packing and picking to sorting and shipping and are open to applicants from all backgrounds and experience levels. The jobs will be open to a range of hours, both full- and part-time.
Amazon said its seasonal employees earn at least $18 per hour and have access to benefits like health care coverage from their first day of employment.
Amazon said many of its seasonal roles have the potential to transition into regular, full-time employment after the holidays. Approximately one-third of Amazon's seasonal employees stay on year after year.
