DENVER — October is here and no doubt Halloween is on the minds of many.
Halloween night is the main event for trick-or-treating for most, but you certainly don't have to wait until then to get some sweet treats.
Here's a list of places for kids to collect candy before Halloween arrives.

Arvada
This Olde Town Arvada tradition will return on Friday, Oct. 25, at 5 p.m. Bring your little monsters, goblins and ghouls to Olde Town Arvada for the free trick-or-treat event.
Aurora
The Fall-O-Ween at Southlands has a trick-or-treat trail on Saturday, Oct. 19, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Main Street. A dog costume contest also begins at 10 a.m. There's a pumpkin patch and fall market as well.
On Havana Street will be sponsoring Rocket Fizz Aurora’s Halloween Costume Contest and the Trick or Treat at the Gardens on Saturday, Oct. 26, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Arapahoe County Scaregrounds will host two days of safe trick-or-treating and family fun on Saturday, Oct. 21, and Sunday, Oct. 20, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event offers games and activities, petting farm, live entertainment, costume contest, pumpkin painting, adult beverages, food trucks and more. Treat Street tickets are $10 per person and kids under 2 are free. Wear your Halloween costume for free entry.
Boulder
Downtown Boulder's Munchkin Masquerade returns this Halloween, Thursday, Oct. 31, at 3 p.m. Children 12 and under are welcome to stop by Treat Stops throughout the downtown Pearl Street district.
Castle Rock
Castle Rock's Spooktacular is Saturday, Oct. 26, starting at 1 p.m. at Philip S. Miller Park. Scheduled activities include games, prizes, food and candy. The free event is held outdoors and family friendly. Costumes are encouraged but not required.
Colorado Springs
Old Colorado City will host its annual trick-or-treating event on Thursday, Oct. 31, from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Participating businesses will have yellow or orange balloons and/or staff at the door to welcome your families.
Denver
Denver's Union Station will host its annual free trick-or-treat parade on Thursday, Oct. 24, with balloon artists, live entertainment and more. Prizes will be given for best individual costume and best group/family costume.
Englewood
Trunk or Treat takes place at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19, at the Englewood Civic Center.
Evergreen
Bring your little creatures dressed in their best outfits to Evergreen's annual Halloween Walk on Thursday, Oct. 31. Candy is bought and given out by all of the participating downtown businesses for your family enjoyment from 4 to 6 p.m.
Firestone
The Firestone Police Department hosts its annual Halloween Safe Night on Friday, Oct. 25, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Firestone Regional Sports Complex. The event includes a trunk-or-treat line, obstacle courses and inflatables, a trackless train for fun rides, safety handouts and a food truck.
Fort Lupton
Dia de los Muertos at Pumpkin Fest & Haunted Hayride is back on Saturday, Oct. 19 at the Historic Fort Lancaster - South Platte Valley Historic Park. Bring the family to enjoy historic tours, an authentic Dia de los Muertos altar, hayrides, kiddie train, petting zoo and Treat Alley from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is $5 per person, kids 3 and under are free.
Frederick
Tiny Terror Town event is Saturday, Oct. 19, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Crist Park. Kids and families can trick-or-treat at tiny abodes with businesses in Frederick at the family friendly event. The Big Beast Bazaar will host a pet costume contest.
Glendale
Glendale's Infinity Park hosts a Trunk or Treat on Monday, Oct. 14, at 4:30 p.m. Bring your baskets and the little ones for an afternoon of candy, fun and festive Halloween vibes. The first 1,000 kids will receive a free small Kona Ice.
Golden
Applewood Valley United Methodist Church is hosting its Trunk or Treat on Sunday, Oct. 27, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. There will be trick-or-treating, bounce castles, face painting, games and cotton candy at at 2035 Ellis St. in Jefferson County.
Henderson
The Mile High Flea Market's Halloween Trick or Treat event is Saturday, Oct. 12, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with trick or treating from the vendors, face painting, pro wrestling, rides and food venders.
Lakewood
Applewood Valley United Methodist Church is hosting its Trunk or Treat on Sunday, Oct. 27, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. There will be trick-or-treating, bounce castles, face painting, games and cotton candy at at 2035 Ellis St. in Jefferson County.
Littleton
Foothills Park & Recreation District’s BOO-rific Bash & Splash is Friday, Oct. 25, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Ridge Recreation Center. This indoor trick-or-treating event allows children to dress in full costume, trick-or-treat among community business tables and enjoy activities.
Aspen Grove's Halloween Extravaganza with a candy crawl will be Saturday, Oct. 19, from 4 to 7 p.m. There will also be bounce houses, games, magic show, face painters, hayrides and music.
The annual Trunk or Treat at the Life Center begins Saturday, Oct. 26 at noon.
Longmont
Longmont's costume parade and trick or treat street are back on Saturday, Oct. 26. The parade will begin at 10 a.m. at Roosevelt Park. Trick-or-treating will be at participating businesses on Main Street after the parade.
Northglenn
Northglenn’s safest and scariest event is back with Safe Street Halloween on Saturday, Oct. 19, 4 to 7 p.m. at Centennial Park, north of the Northglenn Marketplace at 104th Avenue and Interstate 25. More than 3,500 pounds of candy are handed out each year. Candy donations will be accepted leading up to the event at the Justice Center, City Hall and Northglenn Recreation Center.
Pueblo
The Historic Arkansas Riverwalk in Pueblo will hold its annual Fright Night on the Riverwalk on Saturday, Oct. 26, at 4 p.m. The event features a one-mile long trick-or-treat line, where businesses and organizations come together to pass out candy.
Windsor
The Windsor Optimist Club and the Town of Windsor Police Department will host their annual Safe Halloween event in the Community Recreation Center gym on Thursday, Oct. 31. The event is indoors and family friendly. The evening will include treats and games geared toward children ages 12 and under. Costumes are encouraged, but not required. Admission is free.
