DENVER- Come out and eat for a good cause.
On Friday, firefighters from across the country will be squaring off in Larimer Square for the 28th annual MDA Firefighter Chili Cook-off.
The cook-off is combined with the Fill-the-Boot campaign to raise money for the Muscle Dystrophy Association.
Hundreds of firefighters representing dozens of local and national firehouses cook their best red and green chili in hopes of getting the 1st place award. 9NEWS' Corey Rose, Colleen Ferreira and Belen DeLeon are this year's chili judges.
Last year, the firefighters raised more than $100,000 for MDA.
Larimer Street will be closed from 5 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 14th Street will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. for this event.
