DENVER — Weary travelers driving on Interstate 70 in north Denver will be getting a new food option late next year.
Cracker Barrel, the country store and comfort food restaurant chain, announced plans to open its fifth Colorado location late next year.
The new restaurant will be located in Denver's Central Park neighborhood off East 40th Avenue. That location is just south of I-70 off of the Central Park Boulevard exit.
Cracker Barrel said its store will employ around 150 people in full-time and part-time positions.
Cracker Barrel's other locations in Colorado are in:
- Northglenn
- Colorado Springs
- Pueblo
- Loveland
The company said the new store and restaurant would be its first new Colorado location since 1997.
There are more than 650 Cracker Barrels in 45 states, according to the company's website.
