ARAPAHOE COUNTY, Colo. — Authorities have found the owner of a lost pig in Centennial.
The wayward pig was found by deputies with the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office and picked up by Centennial Animal Control on Monday.
Named Chris P. Bacon by the sheriff's office, the pig has black fur and white tusks.
"So why was a wayward pig wandering the streets? There could be sow many reasons," the sheriff's office posted on X. "He may have had temporary hamnesia. It snout impossible.
"While everything is swine now, we do need to find his owner," the sheriff's office said. "If you know who he belongs to, please let us know. Chris P. Bacon could really use a hog and kiss."
The sheriff's office posted on Wednesday afternoon that the owner was located. Because the City of Centennial doesn't allow pigs in residential neighborhoods, the owner surrendered the animal and it was adopted by a rescue in eastern Arapahoe County.
