DENVER - Recently, 9NEWS Morning Anchor Corey Rose did a series called "Left in the Smoke."
It's a series about the high rate of firefighters who have developed certain types of cancer. One of the firefighters Corey interviewed for the series was North Metro Firefighter Craig Moilanen.
Moilanen was went through three separate bouts of leukemia, and unfortunately, passed away in October. Moilanen left behind a wife and two young kids.
Corey put together a workout fundraiser for Craig's family on Saturday, Nov. 21. All of the proceeds will go to Moilanen's family.
The fundraiser will take place at Method CrossFit at 9809 E Easter Ave, Centennial, CO 801120 and CrossFit Ken Caryl at 8101 Shaffer Pkwy Unit 2, Littleton, CO 80127 at 9:30 a.m.
This workout fundraiser is open to the public and attendees do not have to have CrossFit experience.
