When you live in a part of the state that is rich with vineyards, fruit orchards and so many peaches, you can't pass up the opportunity to use them to make something unique.

Peach Street Distillers, located in Palisade, is a small-batch spirits distillery with a tasting room.

For nearly six years, some of their bottles of Pear Brandy contain something more than pears that are fermented and distilled - there is actually a whole pear in the bottle.

They grow the pears inside each bottle.
