But if you're looking to get out and enjoy your downtown community with fall feasts, festivals and family fun, and some spooky evenings... look no further. We have everything for families, kiddos, and something spooky just for adults.
1. Love Lakewood Fall Festival
Enjoy a FREE family fun fest in Lakewood for the annual Love Lakewood Fall Festival this Saturday, October 19, at 12pm.
Enjoy carnival games, inflatable fun, food, contests, and prizes! Did we mention you could win a Nintendo Switch this year?
Take a day trip to Lakewood with the whole family. Find the festival on the west-side of the Lakewood Link Rec. Center located at 1295 S. Reed Street. Lakewood, Co 80232.
2. Joy Wine and Spirits Chili Cookoff
Chomp around Denver for the 9th annual Joy Wine and Spirits Chili Cookoff. All the proceeds support Same Cafe.
SAME Café is a donation-based, fair exchange restaurant that serves healthy food to everyone, regardless of ability to pay.
It's just 25 dollars for all you can eat chili from local restaurants and armature chili bosses. Also, enjoy wine, beer, and spirits from all over the state. Who will be crowned the champ? Find out on Sunday, October 20, from noon-4PM at 1320 E. 6th Ave, Denver.
3. Fall Flannel Festival
It's back by popular demand for this second year! Fall lovers unite at the Dairy Block for the Fall Flannel Festival this Sunday, October 20, from 11-2PM.
This FREE event includes face painting, live music, carnival games, scarecrow art initiations, and more! But wait, there's more!! Denver Milk Market will be serving seasonal food and drink specials all day!
4. Zoologist for a Day
The Zoologists at the Downtown Aquarium are experts in more than just fish. They also specialize in turning education fun.
Kiddos can spend the day learning about the impressive selection of fish, reptiles, birds, amphibians, and the tigers of course housed at the Downtown Aquarium by being Zoologists for a Day this Saturday.
The fun starts at 9AM and youth 1st grade to 12th grade welcome!
5. Haunted Field of Screams
Have you been to Colorado's largest scream park? Head over to the 40 acre scream park if you dare! Haunted Field of Screams sits on a family owned farm that is a family fun fest by day, but come night, the monsters come alive.
There are four different scare-tastic attractions to choose from... you can scream in the Corn Maize, try to escape the two different escape room if you dare, play the CarnEvil Games...
Head over to Thornton this weekend and get spooked, pick your pumpkin, play some games, and SCREAM! The scream park is open from dark to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays! Prepare to be spooked!
