DENVER- NBA star LeBron James has teamed up with NBC for a new game show where groups of twos will compete for life-altering sums of money. The open casting call tour made a stop in Denver at the Marriott City Center this weekend.
It's a mix they hope will have people will relate to and find entertaining.Producers and LeBron aim to highlight everyday folks and unsung heroes who have compelling stories to share. That's combined with trivia, luck and a secret component that has not yet been disclosed.
"Denver has a lot of folks who have multiple jobs – they're bus drivers during the day, at night they're waiting tables at a restaurant and they're a mother of four, so I think for us, we really wanted to look for those people who really deserve it," Quintin Strack, the casting director for Denver's auditions, said.
If you missed Sunday's casting call, there are still opportunities to audition. Visit Dreamchancetv.com to sign up for a chance audition via Skype.
Ten episodes of the game show will be filmed in August and will air at the end of the year on NBC.
