LAS VEGAS — Los Bukis will make history by becoming the first group to headline a Spanish-language residency in Las Vegas.
The group made the announcement Monday on their Instagram page. NBC News reported that the residency, which will take place from May to September, will be at the Dolby Live amphitheater at the Park MGM resort and hotel. The group will perform 15 shows in front of nearly 6,000 fans, according to Live Nation's website.
"It's an unimaginable dream. We didn't have it planned, but that's how things happen," vocalist Marco Antonio Solís told the program "Hoy Día" on 9NEWS sister station Telemundo in Spanish.
The group, known for their iconic ballads, will give their first performance on Friday, May 3.
According to their Instagram page, presales for CITI card members start at 10 a.m. ET Tuesday and end 10 p.m. Thursday. Tickets go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. Friday.
According to NBC News, the band's reunion tour sold out stadiums across the United States, peaking at No. 6 on Billboard's 2021 year-end Boxscore charts with a total gross of $49,667,153, making it the No. 1 Latin tour.
The group's lead singer, Marco Antonio Solís, was the 2022 Person of the Year of the Latin Recording Academy. He was recognized for his career of more than four decades as one of the most successful and multifaceted artists in the history of Mexico.
