EL RENO, Okla. — One of the summer's biggest movies has assembled a who's who of country music artists for its soundtrack.
The roster of artists for "Twisters: The Album," announced Wednesday, includes country music stars Luke Combs, Jelly Roll, Shania Twain, Thomas Rhett, Miranda Lambert, Lainey Wilson, Kane Brown, Bailey Zimmerman, Tyler Childers and more.
The soundtrack will be featured in "Twisters," the follow-up to "Twister," the 1996 summer blockbuster that inspired a generation of storm chasers and severe weather fanatics.
The new film "Twisters" — starring Daisy Edgar-Jones, Anthony Ramos and Glen Powell as a new bunch of storm chasers — and "Twisters: The Album" will be released Friday, July 19.
Combs headlines the album with a new track and music video for "Ain’t No Love In Oklahoma."

Lee Isaac Chung, the Academy Award-nominated director of his autobiographical family film "Minari," directed the new blockbuster-to-be "Twisters."
Growing up in the Midwest, Chung said he developed a healthy fear of tornadoes and a reverence for the 1996 film, which starred Helen Hunt, Bill Paxton, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Alan Ruck.
Chung said he saw the movie in the theater with his family when he was a teenager.
“I remember thinking, ‘I didn’t know you could chase after these things,’” Chung said. “That, to me, was very mind-blowing.”
When he was hired to direct “Twisters,” he knew one thing was non-negotiable: They needed to shoot in Oklahoma, not on soundstages.
“I told everyone this is something that we have to do. We can’t just have blue screens,” Chung said. “We’ve got to be out there on the roads with our pickup trucks and in the green environments where this story actually takes place.”
Chung said Steven Spielberg, an executive producer on the original movie, has lent his support during the new film's production.
“He loves ‘Twister’ and I could tell he loves this movie as well,” Chung said. “I’m humbled by that.”
