COLORADO, USA — While March usually marks the start of the spring-summer concert and festival season, Colorado's music venues will be dark until at least May 11.
Social distancing, however, does not mean social isolation. That's the message many Colorado musicians are sharing this weekend.
Bands, artists and organizations across the Centennial State will turn to hosting and streaming live, virtual music festivals. Festival organizers said many of the events will be recurring, weekly concerts with changing lineups.
Stay tuned as the virtual music festivals get underway on Friday, March 20 on Facebook and YouTube. Here are several local streams planned this weekend:
High Plains Bank and the Left Hand Brewing Foundation will host a live stream concert series beginning Friday, March 20 at 7 p.m. with Tierro Band with Bridget Law.
Watch as musicians perform live from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. each Friday, beginning March 20.
Colorado Quarantine Fest will serve as a fundraiser directly benefiting the bands involved in a four-day livestream event.
Northern Colorado artists will team starting with the first showcase on Saturday, March 21 from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m.
Quite Right Records, Pulse Of Prophets and Foreign Roots will host Internet Rave V1 on Saturday, March 21 at 7 p.m. at QuiteLive.com.
