DENVER — Basketball legend Shaquille O'Neal will headline his first solo concert at Red Rocks this autumn.
Shaq, known as DJ Diesel in the electronic music community, will perform "Shaq's Bass All Stars at Red Rocks" at Red Rocks Amphitheatre on Sunday, Oct. 27.
Organizers said the event will showcase a "custom stage design, tailor-made to complement the grandeur of one of America's premier venues and one of its biggest icons."
The concert will also feature bass music luminaries such as Habstrakt, Riot Ten, Benda ‘back-to-back (B2B)’ Stoned Level, and CELO B2B Kozmoz.
"For the very first time, we are bringing Shaq's Bass All Stars to the mountains, and I cannot wait for what’s in store," O’Neal said. "I personally curated the entire lineup and invited some of the best names in bass music to join us. Just wait until you see our custom stage as well … the Diesel is coming!"
Ticket presales open Thursday, May 16, at 10 a.m. General ticket sales begin Friday, May 17, at 10 a.m. at AXS.com.
Known as “The World’s Biggest DJ,” O'Neal began his musical journey in the 1990s with his platinum-certified debut album, "Shaq Diesel." Other albums include "Shaq Fu: Da Return" and "You Can't Stop the Reign."
Owned and operated by the City of Denver, the concert venue at Red Rocks Park has been home to some of the most iconic concerts in history, from artists such as The Beatles, U2 and Sting.
Located just west of the Mile High City, Red Rocks Park features 738 acres of hiking trails, geological wonders and astounding views.
The Red Rocks 2024 concert schedule (announced so far) is steadily growing. We will keep this concert schedule updated as the concert season continues.
