Pop supergroup RBD reunites after 15-year hiatus

The Mexican pop group is coming to Ball Arena on the 'Soy Rebelde Tour.'

DENVER — Mexican pop supergroup RBD has announced a world tour after a nearly 15-year hiatus.

The group will visit stadiums and arenas in 26 cities across the Americas this summer, including a stop at Ball Arena in Denver on Sunday, Sept. 10.

"After 15 years, we return to the stage for the last time," RBD said in the social media announcement.

General ticket sales for the Colorado concert begin Friday, Jan. 27, at 12 p.m. at Ticketmaster.com.

A presale opens Thursday, Jan. 26, at 2 p.m. with the code NUESTROAMOR.

RBD gained popularity from Televisa's telenovela "Rebelde." The group sold over 15 million records while active from 2004 to 2009 with hit singles like "Salvame," "Tu Amor," and "Ser O Parecer."

Home to the Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche and Colorado Mammoth, Ball Arena opened in downtown Denver on Oct. 1, 1999, with a sold-out concert by Celine Dion. Formerly known as the Pepsi Center, the arena seats up to 20,000 for concerts and other events. Ball Arena hosts more than 250 events each year.
