Denver fan invited on stage to rap with Megan Thee Stallion

Isaiah Carrola said his biggest supporter, his mom, helped him get pulled up on stage.

DENVER — A Denver fan of Megan Thee Stallion attended her concert at Ball Arena on Monday night –  but he couldn't have predicted what happened when the rapper pulled him up on stage.

The Mile High City was the 19th stop on Megan's "Hot Girl Summer" tour to support her third studio album, "Megan." The artist is known for bringing fans on the stage with her, but not usually to perform alongside her.

Superfan Isaiah Carrola attended the concert with his mom, who he said tried to get Megan's attention a couple of times. The third try was the charm.

Carrola and his mom made a sign asking to be brought up on stage, but they forgot it at home. So instead, they bought a concert shirt and wrote on the back of it with a marker.

They wrote "It's my dream to rap with you," on the back of the shirt.

When he heard GloRilla perform "Wanna Be," he knew the part of the song he wanted to sing was coming up.

"So, I was holding up the sign, holding up the sign with my mom," Carrola said.

That's when he said Megan looked at them and saw his sign.

"I was like please let me up there, please. And she said, 'OK, if I let you up what are you gonna sing?' I said I wanted to sing 'Stalli Freestyle' and she said, 'Oh, what a coincidence, that's the next song.'"

That's when Megan finally invited the young man on stage with her to perform.

"I thought I was nervous and she's like, 'You can't be nervous. I set you up here. What do you mean you're nervous?'" Carrola said. "But that's OK. And then I got the mic, I started rapping. I treated it like how I treated it in my basement where I was walking around interacting with the crowd - rapping with Megan Thee Stallion and it was a really cool experience."

The clip of Carrola rapping with the star has gone viral on social media. He said he's enjoying his 15 minutes of fame.

"I'm enjoying it. I would love to have more opportunities like this. Like it's so fun. I've been manifesting for a long time actually," Carrola said. "Like once we bought the tickets, I was telling my aunt all the time. I was like, 'I'm getting up there. I'm making sure I get up there. We're right there, like there's no way I can't get up,' so yeah."

The local crowd seemed to like his performance, too.
