Jeff Lynne’s ELO announces farewell 'The Over and Out Tour'

Jeff Lynne’s Electric Light Orchestra is set to embark on the band’s final tour, dubbed “The Over and Out Tour.”

DENVER — Jeff Lynne’s ELO announced its final tour on Monday.

The 27-date “The Over and Out Tour” will kick off in California on Aug. 24 and travel across North America through Oct. 25.

The tour will make a Denver stop at Ball Arena in Denver on Wednesday, Oct. 2.

 A ticket presale begins Wednesday, March 20, at 10 a.m. General ticket sales start Friday, March 22, at 10 a.m.

The Electric Light Orchestra (ELO) was founded in 1970 and has been known as Jeff Lynne’s ELO since 2014.

Lynne was a co-founder and member of The Travelling Wilburys with George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Roy Orbison, and Tom Petty.

Home to the Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche and Colorado Mammoth, Ball Arena opened in downtown Denver on Oct. 1, 1999, with a sold-out concert by Celine Dion.

Formerly known as the Pepsi Center, the arena seats up to 20,000 for concerts and other events. Ball Arena hosts more than 250 events each year.
