DENVER — Donald Glover, who performs music as Childish Gambino, on Monday postponed the rest of his North American tour – including a show this week in Denver – to focus on his health.
"The New World Tour" was scheduled to make 33 stops across North America beginning Aug. 11. Glover was scheduled to perform Friday at Ball Arena. That show and 14 others will be rescheduled for dates to be named later.
"Unfortunately I have to postpone the rest of the North American tour to focus on my physical health for a few weeks," Glover posted to the social media platform X on Monday. "Hold onto your tickets. ALL tickets will be honored for the upcoming dates in North America when they are rescheduled. Thanks for the privacy. Thanks for the support. Thanks for the love."
There will also be a run of European, United Kingdom, Australian, and New Zealand dates lasting into 2025.
Childish Gambino has released an official music video for “Little Foot Big Foot,” directed by Hiro Murai, featuring Young Nudy. The rapper and actor is known for starring on the television series "Community" and "Atlanta."
Home to the Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche and Colorado Mammoth, Ball Arena opened in downtown Denver on Oct. 1, 1999, with a sold-out concert by Celine Dion.
Formerly known as the Pepsi Center, the arena seats up to 20,000 for concerts and other events. Ball Arena hosts more than 250 events each year.
