Hamilton brings fun and electric atmosphere in Denver Tuesday night

Most tickets have been claimed, but fans can still participate in a lottery for discounted tickets to every show.

It’s finally here!

Hamilton opened in Denver Tuesday night to a packed theater.

The national tour of the Broadway musical will play at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts Buell Theatre through April 1, 2018.

Fans arrived more than an hour before doors opened Tuesday night, buzzing with excitement.

“I’m shaking!” squealed Caroline Dewell, a high school student and aspiring actor. “If you can see my knees, I’m shaking right now. I don’t know if I’ll be able to hold it together when I get inside the theater.”

“It’s insane. I didn’t think I would be able to go to this,” added Beverly Buster, who treated her granddaughter to a night at the theater. “We are extremely excited. Excited enough that I got a subscription for next season! [at the theater]”

When asked about her favorite song from the show, Micayla Lander couldn’t decide.

“I love the whole soundtrack. I just can’t help but sing along and dance,” she laughed. “I hope the person next to me isn’t offended by my dancing.”

Most tickets have been claimed, but fans can still participate in a lottery for discounted tickets to every show.

Karima Gabriel scored a lucky lottery seat to opening night.

“Just the idea that it’s this big and it’s just something I’ve always wanted to do. It’s just exciting!” she said.
